Forest Fire

Ash and embers scorch the remains
Animals by the road gone to eternal rest
Everything stripped away like a band-aid
The sun blazing these cracked empty plains
The dedicated community stayed to protect their home
No sign of relief as the flames engrossed the bushland
The tourists flew away to a place with less chaos
This once lush green bush is now a dying biome
The smoke suffocating anything in its path
