Forests

Rays of sunlight dance upon the forest ferns
Tall trees stretch up to the sky
Damp moss smothers rocks and fallen tree trunks,
Blossoms bring bees buzzing
The wind whispers through the branches
Leaves gather thickly on the forest floor-
food for creatures that scrabble around on the ground.
Parrots screech, echoing through the forest giving music Mr Possum eating berries high on a branch
The smells of eucalyptus send Koals to sleep.
The forests are peaceful and beautiful,
And important to protect for all living creatures.
