German Medal

My dad has a German world war 2 medal
his grand pa gave him after he fought
he brang home a German medal
that he’d taken from a corpse
now it’s at my dad’s
he’s planning to give it to me
I think its special to me
I always wanted to meet my great grand father
he seemed like I nice guy
fought in world war 2
my dad tells me stories about him
the medal was definitely
from a general that was killed by him
my great grand father never wanted to kill any one
but he had to kill to save his village
on his way he took this medal
saved it for my grand pa
passed it on to my father my
dad said I can’t take because he thinks its too much risk
to bring it without losing it
