Gone

Grey fur, big furry ears,
once plentiful, their death is near.
Lack of water, dehydration,
parched lands, and then extinction.
Red streaks, blazing hot,
crumbling ashes, grey bodies rot.
Lush forests, thriving koalas,
more trees fall, by the hours.
These koalas of which we are fond,
We must save them, or they'll be gone.
