Green sea turtles are gliding through the sea,

Swimming to the surface to take a breath of air.

The shells are hard, not soft or squishy,

They have to be aware of sharks because they bite and eat.

The females leave the water in order to lay their eggs,

The babies then hatch and have to go to the sea.

I saw a few green sea turtles in the South Pacific Ocean,

They were drifting through the water right next to me.

I named one Shelly because she has a shell,

I made good friends with her and I love her.

They are living in the sea very happy and bright,

Swimming, swimming, swimming through the sea and smiling with glee.

Fish swimming in coral and seaweed,

A dugong eating on the grassy seafloor.

A pod of dolphins jumping out of the water and in the air.
