I can hear them crying for help,

Their whimpers engraved in my brain.

Rising for freedom from this fiery hell,

Pleading for mercy from this pain.

All I can do is spread awareness.

And yet I just sit here and dwell.

 

They beg to be set free from this burning prison.

These beautiful creatures tortured and tormented,

By the destruction of their home.

A problem so simple yet complicated.

Not even being able to roam.

 

Koalas have done nothing to deserve this cruelty,

So why do we put them through this?
