Hiding place

Wake from your deep slumber, smell
the morning breeze. Come out of
your precious little sandy hiding place.
Little furry ears poking out listening to the morning birds sing.
Your nose smelling all those lizards, small mammals. That might
just be your breakfast. Your long furry yellow orange tail swaying side to side. While
saliva runs down the side of your mouth. Imagining your breakfast. Your strong legs run at
the sight of a wild turkey. You hear the thud of paws on leaves. See another dingo after
your breakfast. You run faster, using all your strength. You get there first.
You bring your breakfast back to your sandy hiding place, to your little precious babies.
