I walk down the beach staring at the sea

Every time I come here; I think of a younger me

My hair so dark and eyes so green

My mum making sure I’m wearing sunscreen

The sea is so clear and the sky so bright

Sometimes the stingrays give me a fright

Surrounded by bushland and all the tall trees

My hairs standing up, from the cool breeze

I gaze blankly at the horizon, starting at the sunset

The sky so orange, the sea so wet

The birds are singing, squark, squark, squark

I must get home before it turns dark

I make my way home, strolling so slow

The sensational, striking, sun giving me a natural glow

I will forever love this place, this is my home

Forever and ever, here on my own.
