In Lieu of Flowers

Before, in a meadow so full of life,
Amongst the whispers of flowers,
Idyllic in the spotlight,
Their sweet scent dancing in the air,
Daisies swayed and tulips turned,
Not knowing that they would have to go away.
Now, in a meadow once so full of life,
Gloom descends, quiet and severe,
Claws of silver slice the air.
With each methodical, heartless cheer,
Cries and quivers of fallen spirits despair,
Until they stand no more.
After, where destruction once reigned,
Renewal takes hold,
The meadow, once lost, now begins to revive,
With each seed that's planted, hope starts to thrive.
In the meadow's rebirth, a story unfolds.
Do you see the transformation, as life finds its way,
Through rewilding's embrace, a new dawn of day?
