In The Forest

In the forest everywhere you look is stunningly beautiful
With magical flora and fauna all around
Flowers dance with a smile and woodpeckers in trees sing
As moose and deer prance cheerfully on the ground
In the forest animals love to come out at night
Owls soar through the sky like a plane
Foxes race faster than a bullet for their food
Whilst badgers hide in their cosy burrows to escape the deafening rain
In the forest life sound idyllic,
But let us not forget predator vs prey
Hungry hawks swoop from above, vigilant wolves ready to pounce
As defenceless animals play possum where they lay
But this is phenomena is not the worst aspect of nature
But rather climate change, which must come to a stop
Bushfires are detrimental to our nature and wildlife
A red, scorching hand catching animals’ dead bodies as they drop
Innocent creatures are coming to harm for the things that we’ve done
And bushfires are only one part of this sorrowful pain
Like a pandemic to the world this problem needs urgent help
But none has come, and the Earth is dying. When will civilisation finally take the blame?
