In the Tree

Strong, majestic tree, 

wide-brimmed leaves that cross over each other like a cage 

Possums scuttering through the branches,  

mother and child 

Like the stars in the sky gathering together, 

a family. 

There are families we don’t see 

Animals, all different shapes and sizes 

Living in the tree home. 

Don’t cut down our home, they’re calling!  

Don’t cut it down! 

We have scarred their homes  

Threatened their existence!

Listen to the animals that are calling to you  

Listen to their call…  

Pay attention!
