Into The Woods

Deep, deep down

In the never-ending woods,

Is where we made the discoveries

Of many, many goods.

"Ssssss!" Go the snakes,

"Oh! Oh! Oh!" Go the monkeys,

As rabbits hide in their burrows,

The cheetahs make sure they look perfectly spunky.

As raccoons purr and

Tigers and lions growl, animals hide.

As a sheet of black covers the sky,

Out come the owls.

As you peer into the caves,

Groups of bats come rowing out.

A group of hyenas stride into view

As their leader is on the lookout.

Lynxes are out,

Hunting for prey,

Soon all these animals go back into hiding,

As the sun shines, welcoming the new day.
