Joy

Dark silhouettes on smouldered trees
The smell of smoke still hung around each time
You took my breath away like the wind steals the autumn leaves
But when you're gone I can't take the stillness
It makes me shiver, it makes me break
like the branches on a winter night
I cradle myself as the flowers hum me sweet songs
while I reminisce over the evergreen forests
captivated by the edge of the labyrinth
Then I jump
and joy fills my soul
