Koala

The bright sky shines at night,
Shining on his nose,
Shining on the swaying trees,
Shining on the moon.
A soft ball clings tightly to its mum like velcro,
Tired of the long day he left behind.
He snuggles into his mum’s fur,
Looking up at the silver stars.
It’s been a long day eating leaves,
Climbing up through the whispering trees,
Almost getting stung by bees,
And sleeping with deep dreams,
Koalas in the trees
