Kookaburra take my offering

But why are you staring so intently?

Now prey appears and you dive down eagerly 

So why is it not the same?

You throw your head back in laughter

Mocking us, calling out to the sky

to warm the earth with the sun's fire

You hop like a rabbit and laugh

like friends having fun, with the hint

of blue that glimmers and catches

the sun's reflection
