I am just a lonely leaf

Carried by the wind

I have seen my planet evolve

While I travel around the globe

I’ve passed blooming flowers

And families of deer

I have discovered thousands of buzzing bees

And animals scurrying away from the rain

But soon enough I come to a stop

A large brick wall blocks the breeze

I lie on the floor

Having flown no more

The forests are going extinct

Chemical reactions run through the forest

Poisoning everything in sight

Pollution kills us

No more wildlife

Luckily, I did not see the damage

But I will not see forests altogether

The humans have destroyed our forests
