Leatherman

Thirteen today my son,
Your time has finally come.
I smell its leather cover
Over the rivets my thumb hover
I feel its substantial heft
Then toss it from right to left
Embossed deeply into the front
"LEATHERMAN" in bold capital font
The time has finally come
From boy to man become
In the palm of my hand, the metal, so cool
I carefully withdraw my chrome multi-tool
"LEATHERMAN Wingman", it says,
Made in the US of A
No description necessary,
This indispensable utility,
Sported by every man in my family,
Symbolizing the start of his destiny
Thirteen today I am
Today I became a man!
