I melt onto the hand of a child
She’s crazy, kind and a little bit wild
I weep dark blue and I clink like a chain
And push hope through her veins
Shiny, gleaming and bright
I’m silver and catching all light
It’s a shiny sun, for all to see
It makes me smile and shout with glee
‘Why do I own it?’ I suddenly asked
Suddenly it became an echo of the past
Remembering how the ring was given to me
By my mama so proud as can be
I’ll always remember the look on her face
After she wrapped me in a loving embrace
A memory so precious, more than the brightest star
Makes me remember, I’m always at home even when I’m far
It brings hope out of the dark
And ignites my heart with a love spark
Reminding me that people that love me, and they care
And when I need them, they will always be there
