Lighting up our world with poetry
Our lantern display was colourful, bright, individual and inspiring to our poets. We feel that our poems have brought happiness, sweet memories and joy to all who have read them.
Lanterns have been used since ancient times. They come from many different cultures and are used for a variety of
different celebrations. They are said to bring love, brightness, protection and happiness to the child that holds them.
As we all come from different cultures, religious backgrounds and all participate in different celebrations, our group installation was representative of our individual differences, but working together, we are lighting up the world with our poetry and group installation.
