The lightning strikes across the sky

It starts off weak with one bolt
But soon starts to grow
Hungry for more power
Spreading all over the sky
Building up more and more
Until suddenly turning fierce
Striking at the ground
Scorching the land
Sending it up in smoke
Embers drift through the air like fiery snowflakes
While flames consume the forest

A thick black carpet of ash covers the forest floor

Booming and crackling

Laughing with delight

At the sight of its own mischief

It races across the sky like a wolf in pursuit of its prey

Looking for more things to ignite

It meets a town and smirks with delight.
