I see the thriving forest, peaceful, tranquil calm

What a lovely feeling that it gives

I see the emerald leaves, moving swiftly through the breeze

A forest full of everything that lives.

I hear the birds all chirping, singing cheerful, happy songs

I hear the trees that whisper in hushed voices

You can almost hear them talking, almost watch them slowly walking

A forest full of unheard quiet voices.

I feel the leaves between my hands and soil on my feet

As sunlight filters softly through the leaves

And more a sense of peace, like a child of the trees

A forest where everything is free.

I taste the sweet, damp forest air, crisp and clear and cool

It’s soft and slightly tangy on my tongue

The breeze is sweet and sharp, it swells my quiet heart

A forest where the peace can fill your lungs.

I smell the soil dark and soft, the eucalyptus leaves

I smell the bark and watch the clear dew glisten

The forest has a voice, it just doesn't like the noise

The forest, all it needs is you to listen.
