Little sugar glider

So soft and warm

Curled up in a little ball

Its home amongst the trees

Sleeping through the light

When the sun goes down

It’s time to strike

It glides through the air so peacefully

To find its one and only sugarberry

Launching from tree to tree

Searching for sugary sweetness

Until its belly is full

Hiding its petiteness

Early morning light heralding the dawn

Heading back home before its yawn

Little sugar glider

So soft and warm

Curled up in a little ball
