The last rays from the sun shine over the knoll on the north end,
The locals sit out with their families every Friday
Kids laughing in the kids pool
Dogs running around the boat ramp.
The Bondi lifestyle used to be so easy
I miss the old days of when we used to run off flat rock,
Our blonde shaggy groodle Marley barking every time we used to be under the water for a second too long
Having to be out of the water by six o’clock
The parents waited patiently for us to join them at the RSL for dinner.
Bondi doesn't feel the same anymore,
The whole beach is covered with cameras for Bondi Rescue
The local business are gone and replaced by souvenir shops
The hipster cafes and bars cover Campbell Parade.
The days of Dad pushing me onto all the waves on my pink board,
Going to nippers every Sunday morning no matter on what the weather was
The memories from our childhood are vivid.
We are all grown up now,
The local Bondi kids are older now,
But our beach feels new.
