the world mirrors my state of mind;

a gentle breeze greets earth,

lazy leaves reply amidst their sunbath.

light glides upon evergreen gums,

overripe lemons loosely swing.

a bird coos appreciation in the still air

carrying its ring to the painted clouds

that spread across a grand blue canvas.

pink buds smile up at the new sun

sharing between friends of warmth.

quiet purrs from my grandmother’s chair

are my love for the world.
