Me and Finn

A snapshot of a memory in a tiny paper square,
A delicate piece of paper, which could erase the memory with just one tear.
A tiny paper photo, bringing back memories at the click of a finger,
A memory so clear as if the movie of that day still lingered.
The thought sits protected in a shiny plastic glove,
This precious memory that was once experienced, felt and loved.
The smiles on our faces as big as a hero’s heart,
It looks as if we could encourage a villain to smile after feeling dark.
If it weren’t for this photo I would forget this magical day,
Where we bounced around the glass-like ocean surface at a place called Geordie Bay
Although this memory is paper thin, I will always love this photo of me and
my brother Finn.
