A flip, a twirl, a cartwheel on a beam.
It’s as if I feel myself being famous in my dream.
Point, flex, point, flex will we get to the last point or not?
My team and I chatter along, this is my last moment to shine!
Everyone is practising, I wonder if we’re ready.
What if I …….mess it up then we won’t be able to get to that point.
I’ll be sad, blamed and filled with shame.
My leotard sparkling its gems out.
I can’t feel any pain.
Inside my head I feel a nerve-racking change.
I wonder how I got to this point.
We are asked to start I cheer and follow along I get quiet as our start.
Feel proud as it’s our turn to perform and I wonder as all heads go down I can do it.
My last words would be faster, higher, stronger
I’m not as relaxed as I should be, it’s making me wonder where’s my annoying brother?
Annoying as can be. Finished with hope and relief.
After we have a drink, to cool down and listen to the crowd sound.
Then we get our medal. It’s bronze, we did it, at least I started to try! This really means a lot to me.
