Memories

When I come to this place, it feels like home.
Water as still as a house, or maybe somedays
As bumpy a sandpaper.
As I lift out of the water, I feel heavy,
Water sprays my face
As the boat leads the way,
When I fall off, the river holds me in a cradle
Until I’m ready to get up again.
When I close my eyes, I see this place,
My eyes light up,
And bring a smile to my face.
My place is special, special as can be.
When I doubt myself she helps me,
And comes along with me along the way.
Boats in my way, fish yet to be seen
Smiles and friends, memories
