Mineshaft Dreams

It was born in darkness,
Found in a mine shaft,
Smooth as marble,
Black as the night,
Dark as a cave,
It is a dangerous beast,
Cannot be tamed,
It has no pity,
Only rage,
It lurks in the darkness,
Waiting, biding its time,
Light dances on it, making it black with fury,
Shadows swirl on it, taking out the light,
When the sun goes down, it is invisible,
Invisible, invincible, indestructible,
Not heavy, nor light,
You can see your reflection,
Rock hard, as strong as steel,
A faithful talisman.
