My Adventurous Novelty

When the moon is present,
She is scaling the great wall of bed frame,
And slowly pads through the vast maze of bed spread
Reaching the golden temple of my heart.
The sun rises and the adventurous novelty upswings to explore
With the other fauna in the jungle-bed.
The sanctuary waited for countless moons.
The temple became grey and nearly pointless.
The adventurous novelty was lost
And so it seemed was lost for an eternity.
Time passed and the soul-rain came every day.
But no hope lost, for the novelty would return.
The paws treaded warily from the dusty below-bed,
And she reappeared, welcomed into my realm.
Her fur was as freshly fallen snow at the roots of an oak tree.
Her eyes were more beautifully blue than the running stream to the ocean.
Her insignificant size expanded.
Her inquisitive nature brought happiness.
Two hearts were together once again for one long eternity.
