My Backyard Garden

We spend most of our time indoors
Constricted to a dark room with four walls
Do we dare to take that step
Into the magical garden where memories are kept
Pupils shrinking adjusting to the sun
Vitamin C gripping to your skin blanketing your body
Drenching you in its warmth like hot tea
Waves of colour come crashing down at the bay of your eyes
Awarded with such beauty it feels like a prize
Particles of pollen melting down on your nose
The more sightings unveiled to your tame mind, imagination really grows
As your mind stops being so tame and fixed
You start to enjoy the little things in this garden, your mind has been pricked
Maybe even punctured to remove all the negative juices
So there can be room for all this aesthetic attraction this garden produces
But this garden is nowhere near done you're yet to experience all the animal fun
Living deep beneath the surface or displayed right overtop to wake us at night
Watching them work, breathe and play it's quite an extraordinary sight
As the sky mixes all its paint the pallet goes grey, time to go back inside!
Don't worry, the garden will still be here as you wake, let's see if tomorrow can provide
