My Day-Care Book

Dear Coen,
The special note lays at the front,
Waiting to hear the wondrous whistle of wisely chosen words.
PEEK A BOO
The surprise and adrenalin rushes,
From just those three words the chase begins.
Slim and sneaky memories quickly get made.
YOUR FIRST DRAWING
The texture glides across the page,
Not exactly a picture but much more to me.
OK LETS GO
My teeth grit together I have heavy breaths flooding my lungs,
Then I push off and I’m gone.
MOZART?
I hit the keys to create a sound
I keep it going because I just learnt how.
ALL GROWN UP
My time is up but I’ll remember all the great things that I wondered.
As the pages relive it all,
Spine conceals it and that is all.
Bye Coen
