My Dog

Staring off into the distance,
Eyes beaming like the sun.
Glorious and golden, like a pure sandy beach.
Footsteps of my mum, a little shadow following
Jealous of the new taking his place
Tail high in the air
Nose down low sniffing and searching.
A burst of energy overtaking him,
Sprinting around and around
Like a cheetah
Flying high in the sky,
Dodging through all the clouds
Disappearing into the night,
Never to be seen again
