My Jade Necklace

My eyes suddenly blinded by your iridescent green light,
Your light is turquoise and the colour of jade sitting just beneath the surface,
Your golden chain slides down my neck slithering around like a snake
My body chills as your chain touches my skin,

I fall into it and fester with all my imperfections,
The weighed of your pendant pulls me down,
You glow a bright light,
Shining into the night

I see the cracks behind your old green face,
Like you are ageing,
As you have been around for all these generations
Forever in my heart
