A meaningful letter
In jet-black messy scrawl
I know I could do better

The envelope protects
The letter she wrote
Like a mother’s warm embrace
I love every note

The pen is her wand
The paper is her charm
I know her spell
Won’t do any harm

I aim to write back
But I can’t find the time
This priceless small letter
Deserves a reply

This letter is close
To me and my heart
Since it is from England
We can’t drift apart.
