My lucky rugby ball,
I won it as a prize.
At school in the fall.
There was only one size.

The size fit me,
Not too big nor small.
Got it for free.
It was better than nothing at all.

From New Zealand it came,
In Australia it rests.
My friends feel the same.
This ball is the best.

But one day in town
It got stuck in a tree.
I couldn’t get it down
That frightened me.

So my mum put up a sign.
Leichardt council got it freed.
My ball was now fine.
Now that’s lucky indeed!
