It shines like the brightest star at night.
It means more than the world to me.

A long time ago when I was seven or eight
I started to play basketball and thought it was great.

It took a lot of hard work training
All the time seven days a week
because that’s what it takes if you want to shoot sweet.

The first time I got picked to represent Mackay
I was over the moon and thought I would cry.
The first year at the classics was really great
To play teams from all over the state.

I’ve been playing for a few years now
and have made lots of friends
but one thing I treasure most is the trophy I received called the M.V.P.
That trophy and what it stands for means the world to me.
