My Place, Narooma

I step out of the car feeling pretty sick,

I start to think, where will we go first? It is so hard to pick.

My wonders go away as soon as I see a bird that flies across the sky like a ballerina dancing,

I have a go but I look like a horse prancing.

I suddenly get a shock by someone who is hugging me, 

It is my cousin. She says, "Let's go swimming," while smiling with glee.

Later, me and my cousins go in the water and paddle along,

I really feel like this is where I belong.

The sea starts to speak,

“You humans are destroying everything our nature owns, even on the highest peak.”

I told her, “Really, I had no idea about all this.”

But by then the voice had disappeared into the abyss.

I keep thinking about what the sea had said,

“It is all so wrong,” I whisper as it floats in my head.

I know I must help but I don’t know what to do.

I  have a thought, ooh!

I make a post on the internet

The earth may be dying but it isn’t gone yet,

WE all must help to save the earth

Cause we all must know and value its worth.
