Memory medals
sticking
them
on my shirt

Some represent places
some symbolising both
good times
and bad.

Used to rest proudly
on my chest, now laid
to rest in a box.

The badges,
like hard
waves
cut into
different
shapes and sizes

Always clinking
when they talk

Shining like
torches in a
place of
darkness.
