My Stone

The pearly, glistening gemstone of love,
Ivory,
Azure,
Placed gingerly on my tiny, outstretched palm.
Memories of my grandparents surround me,
Floating in the air like treasured faries
Then sink into the surface of my stone,
Staying there forever.
Its milky swirls mesmerise me,
Soothe me,
A cherished diamond twinkling from the past.
