The fire burns out of control
Too much for the poor firefighters.
The fire’s blaze through the old trees,
And envelopes them in its path.

The once standing trees were now crispy
Burnt down in their prime
Their leaves were bright red, burning
Who knew that one small flicker would start this catastrophe?

The wildlife tried to run
But for some, it is too late.
They are left behind
Life cut short.

The world shall remember this,
When the fire’s blaze was too strong
And cut down the natives of Australia.
