Cool water against my fingertips,
Glistening tranquilly,
Soothing my brain,
So calming, peaceful.

Hot, scorching sand,
Flying in the harsh wind,
Angrily biting at my red ankles,
The blazing sun burning my neck.

Running around joyfully,
Beneath the blanket of thick leaves,
Splashing playfully in the muddy water,
While wildlife busily scuttle around.

Sharp Snaps,
My heart beating fast,
leaves rustling threateningly,
My eyebrows crinkling in uneasiness.

Nature finds a way,
Makes its own path,
Knows that we are interrupting,
Forces us to feel what it wants us to feel.
