The big black beast

Who swallowed it all,

Now we can say goodbye to it all,

The smell of hope lingers in the air,

Sizzling, flaming, burning…now bare,

New life is emerging,

The bushes no longer burning,

Now they’re burnt black,

New growth regeneration is hidden somewhere,

Six months have past,

A sapphire sky,

Blue like the ocean,

New sproutings have arrived,

The trees once cried,

Now the new fresh green leaves

A blanket of shade,

Ash starts to fade, little smoke is in the air,

The breeze as soft as a cuddle,

It’s time to restart, back to the beginning,

With hope in our hearts
