Mountains of them piled up on my desk
Each one the same on the outside
Unique on the inside

Every time I open them it makes me smile
Takes me to another place
Filled with memories and figments of my imagination
Ideas and thoughts that make me feel safe

A picture tells 1000 words
A book of them tells a story
A story of how I felt
Scribbles and shading on the bad days
Polished colouring on the good days

When opened a smell comes out the smell of creativity
The smell of creativity

A bad day has vigorous lines and emotional thoughts
A good day smooth happy creative thoughts
Looking at one can reveal the owner's true self
It says mistakes are okay
It's right I should listen to that
