Radiant sun, you are so bright,

A guiding light for all,

A giant ball of blazing light,

The biggest and the soul.

Without you, planets can not see,

The light is overthrown,

You give order and harmony,

As you shine on your golden throne.

‘God made two lights,’ the Bible does claim,

The greater to govern the day,

The moon just can not fill this aim,

You beat the moon in every way.

How many regions has your face,

Not seen? None, oh great light, not one!

Your light is needed in this place,

Shine on, O ye majestic sun!
