Our Polluted Earth

The earth is gasping, struggling for breath
As its lungs slowly start to compress
the oxygen lows
destroying all the burrows
The air is grey with pollution and grime
We are seriously running out of time
The oceans rising, swallowing shore
The ice caps melt and the glaciers start to roar
Metaphors speak of a burning flame
As we play our part in this deadly game
The forests howling
Because we’re destroying them for housing
The birds in the trees, their hearts are pounding
It's time to act, and make a change
Before the Earth is lost, beyond our range.
