Our Sea

Help! The fish scream as
More and more poison pollutes the pure sea
Ocean flora die and the fauna drown
Colourful ecosystems start to shut down
What once was vibrant, spirited and fair
Turns grey, creating sadness, death and despair
The toxic waste we leave behind
Instead of keeping the sea in mind
The ocean was once so shimmering and bright
But now there is only plastic in sight
Our marine life is dying, and that is a fact
We need to help, we need to act
This fungus is spreading like the plague
Is this a risk we are willing to take?
12 million tonnes are polluted per year
The sweet sea sheds a tear
The ocean is rising, due to our mess
All of this rubbish is causing distress
Our ocean is like a pile of junk, thus
The change in our sea starts with us
