Our Talismanic Objects

Students were asked to bring in an object that had personal significance to their life. They shared why their object was significant to their life and then spent time exploring this significance with their peers. Students created poems that explored their feelings and experiences with these objects, developing imagined worlds in which their object could exist. On completion of their poems, students were asked to sketch their special object and include a brief description to accompany their sketch.
