Our Wonderful Trees

Trees all around us 

let birds

make their nests 

frogs jump up and down 

all over them 

monkeys swing from side to side

and despite 

all that the animals do to them

they stay tall

and hard as rock

people

cut them down 

lightning strikes 

time after time

sugar gliders hide inside

waiting out

the blessed day 

until the sacred night 

our wonderful trees save our endangered species

that's why trees, are the best part of nature
