Pale-headed Snake

Its head is as white as snow,

the blackest animal you’ll know.

Scales as smooth as silk

with a tongue as wet as milk.

At night hunting for dinner.

At day, sleeping when bright.

Watch out on a warm summer night,

the snake is coming to bite.

At dark, it’s waiting to strike.
