Plastic

Screaming, excruciating pain
Drills piercing my crust, all for others' gain
To make containers, cups, plates and toy planes
Leaves me, your protector, giver, lover, with permanent stains
Extracted on land and sea
Stop doing this to them, to me
Can’t you feel the toxins filling you, can’t you see?
You’re killing animals, plants, everything, leave it all be.
Melamine polyethylene, polyamides too
Additives and dye to make that Stanley cup blue
Polyester and polylactic acid, oh what to do?
All these make up the plastics that are so important to you
All so you can have your plastic cup you drink from
Harming the planet, me, and all the creatures that I house, including you, won’t take long
